Obituary: Lorine Marie Browne Hefley, 93, Elizabethtown

Lorine Marie Browne Hefley, 93, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Lebanon Junction, went to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus and her husband on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was an inspector for Phillip Morris and a lifetime member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and was active in the Senior Citizen’s Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Irvin Hefley; one daughter, Barbara Sweat; her parents, Matthew H. and Mary Lula Foote Brown; two sisters, Margaret Owens and Doris Mary Milligan; five brothers, Leroy, Alvin, Clarence and Walter Brown and Raymond Browne; and two granddaughters, Terry Brian and Amie Bowman.

Survivors include two daughters, Jan Hefley Gould (Terry) and Lisa Hefley Caudill (Jay); two sons, Ronald E. Shelton and Tony Hefley (Charlotte); 10 grandchildren, Chris Brian, Tracy Evans, Suzy Chatterton, Paul Hefley, Jaime Evans, Jeff Bowman, Doug Key, Craig Bowman, Terri Sanders and Justin Key; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Brian Kenney officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
