Obituary: Mandy Marie Jones, 90, formerly of Bardstown

Mandy Marie Jones, 90, formerly of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at her home in Florida. She was born May 21, 1927 in Esserville, Va., to the late Harold William and Bertha Hamilton Vaught. She was a former nurse’s aide at T.J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six children, Peggy Wilkerson, Steve Jones, Jackie Jones, Molly Williamson, Dalton Jones, and Becky Goodwin; and one grandchild, Jackie Faye.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Donald) Clark of New Haven and Loretta Senterfitt of Baker, Fla.; three sons, Lonnie (Marilyn) Jones of Bardstown, Jesse (Julia) Jones of Crestview, Fla., and Pat Jones of LaGrange; 31 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren, and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Hegwood officiating. Burial is in the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
