Obituary: Shirley Sweat Hourigan, 88, formerly of Lebanon Junction

Shirley Sweat Hourigan, 88, of Jeffersonville, formerly of Lebanon Junction, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She retired as Lebanon Junction city clerk. She was a member of the Lebanon Junction First Christian Church where she served as the organist and enjoyed being active in the Ladies Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Hourigan; her parents, Charles Daniel and Lula Belle Monroe Sweat; one sister, Vera Jane Walker; and one brother, Gordon Sweat.

Survivors include her daughter, Carla Colmore (Rick); one grandson, Cory Colmore (Amber); one granddaughter, Haley Jordon (Daymond); one great-grandson, Tripp Jordon; and eight nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Lebanon Junction First Christian Church with Bro. Tim Dennis officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
