GEORGE HENRY HEISSENBUTTEL

George Henry Heissenbuttel, 77, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Signature Healthcare East in Louisville. He was born March 30, 1940, in Bronx, N.Y. He was a former employee of BellSouth; a veteran of the U.S. Army; a Kentucky Colonel; a member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association and a muscle car and boating enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry George and Caroline Botolotti Heissenbuttel.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Blair Heissenbuttel; two sons, Hank (Melanie) and Bill Heissenbuttel of Louisville; one sister, Rose Crumley of Longwood, Fla.; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at St. Thomas Moore Church, 6105 S. Third St., Louisville with the Rev. Philip L. Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in St. Francis.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at the Joseph E. Ratterman and Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, Louisville.

The Mattingly Funeral Home and Joseph E. Ratterman and Son Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.
