Flaget Mattingly Clark, 87, Bardstown

Mrs. Flaget Mattingly Clark, 87, formerly of Bardstown, died Sunday, May 29, 2011.   She was a homemaker, an avid gardener, bowler and writer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jude Clark, a son, Jude Clark, and 10 siblings.

She is survived by two sons, John (Aquinda) Clark and Michael Clark, four daughters, Janice C. (Jim) Mahaffey, Nancy (Norman) Wright, Cathy (Gene) Holthouser and Rose Clark; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Delahanty; 12 grandchildren and a great grandson.

A Mass of Christian burial was Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Reverend Thomas Clark was the celebrant.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Gabriel Mahaffey, Cullen Clark, Brennan Clark, Clark Wright, Stephen Holthouser, Justin Clark and Julian Clark.
