Obituary: Herman Barber, 61, Bardstown

Herman Barber, 61, of Bardstown, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1956 in Lebanon. He was employed at Johnan America Inc. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann Barber; and a brother, James Robert Barber Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Barber of Bardstown; two daughters, Carolyn (Joseph) Milburn of Springfield and Kelsey Barber of Lexington; his father, Bob (Shirley) Barber Sr. of Springfield; three sisters, Betty Hamilton of Springfield, Rochelle (Bob) Copeland of Plainfield, Ind., and Jackie (Wayne) Spalding of Bardstown; one brother, Paul Barber of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Dolly Barber of San Diego; three grandchildren, Marissa, Vanessa and Dustin; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating and the Rev. Gary Young assisting.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, and 9-10:15 a.m. Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Memorial contributions may go to Hospice of Nelson County.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
