Obituary: Rita Ann Greenwell Edelen, 86, Springfield

Rita Ann Greenwell Edelen, 86, of Springfield, died at 1 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at Sansbury Care Center at St. Catharine.

She is survived by four sons, Steve Edelen of Louisville, Dave Edelen and Perry Edelen, both of Danville and Mark Edelen of Springfield; two daughters, Faye Edelen of Lexington and Mary Lou Edelen of Louisville; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at St. Dominic Catholic Church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, and 7-10:15 a.m. Thursday at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with a prayer service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
