Sheriff’s office arrests man operating stolen vehicle at High Grove

Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 8:40 a.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the man who was operating it Tuesday morning at the High Grove Grocery.

At around 6:30 Tuesday morning, the sheriff’s office was called to the High Grove Grocery for a possible wanted subject who was inside the store. The man was operating a 2008 Hyundai that was out of gas.

When officers checked on the vehicle, they determined it was registered to an individual in Louisville who reported it stolen on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Police determined that the man who had been operating the vehicle, Bobby Dewayne Parker, 24, was wanted on an arrest warrant from Bullitt County. Parker was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 in value and failure to appear. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
