Obituary: Tariq Jibreel Armour, 18, Cox’s Creek

TARIQ JIBREEL ARMOUR

Tariq Jibreel Armour, 18, of Cox’s Creek, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Green River Lake State Park. He was born Nov. 10, 1998, in Fort Hood, Texas. He was a 2017 graduate of Bardstown High School. He was a student athlete who played football and ran track. Through his blessings and merits, he had earned and accepted a scholarship to play football at Georgetown College in the fall.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Coleman; and his grandfather, Thomas James Farmer Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Tonia Farmer Coleman of Cox’s Creek; his grandmother, Lula Farmer of Vine Grove; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Monica Mitchell and the Rev. Roscoe Linton officiating.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Parkway Baptist Church.

Private interment will take place at a later date.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
