City firefighters respond Wednesday for Aspen Drive apartment fire

Wednesday, July 19, 2017 — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported apartment fire in the 200 block of Aspen Drive. A resident reported active smoke alarms sounding in the apartment next door at 1:28 p.m. Firefighters arrived and had to forcibly enter the apartment to deal with the fire. Fire crews were assisted by members of the Nelson County Fire Department. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
