Obituary: Leslie ‘Doug’ Douglas Karr, 59, Cox’s Creek

LESLIE “DOUG” DOUGLAS KARR

Leslie “Doug” Douglas Karr, 59, of Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his residence. He was born Sept. 16, 1957, in Bardstown to James Edward and Mary Alice Fulkerson Karr. He was a retired Sergeant Deputy Jailer for Nelson County. He loved fishing, hunting and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Karr; and a brother, Willie Karr.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Nix Karr; three daughters, Catrina (Brian) Jackson and Belinda (Chris) Greenwell, both of Cox’s Creek and Samantha Karr of Bardstown; his mother, Mary Alice Fulkerson Karr; four sisters, Theresa Tinnell of Elizabethtown, Rachel (Darryl) Goodpastor of Cox’s Creek, Phyllis (Frank) Lyvers of Bloomfield, Patty (Ricky) Reid of Bardstown; three brothers, Tommy (Debbie) Karr of Cox’s Creek, Emmett (Sheila) Karr and James (Donna) Karr, both of Bloomfield; family friends Sallie and Amber and special cousins Russell and J.T. Fulkerson.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 with a service at 5 p.m. at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
