CHARLES G. “JERRY” MAHONEY

Charles G. “Jerry” Mahoney, 82, of New Haven, died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at his home. He was a devout Democrat, an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, a member of Pipefitters Local 502/522, co-founder of the Blue Knob Country Club, and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. and Theresa Boone Mahoney; and one sister, Charlene Childress Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife, June Ray Mahoney; one daughter, Tammy Stanley (Matthew); two sons, David G. and Michael W. (Stephanie) Mahoney; one brother, Larry Mahoney; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Catherine Academy.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
