July 25, 2017 — The Kentucky State Police executed a seach warrant Tuesday morning at the home of Anna Whitesides, grandmother of Brooks Houck.
Media helicopters hovered overhead while troopers were in the home and conducting the search of the home on the corner of Forrest and Pulliam Avenue adjacent to the Bardstown Cemetery.
KSP Trooper Jeff Gregory confirmed to WDRB that the search warrant was for Whitesides’ home.
Jason Floyd, Whiteside’s attorney, told WDRB that it was his understanding that troopers were looking for items related to bullets and a reloader. He told WDRB he believed troopers removed a reloader from the home.
This is fourth or fifth search warrant executed at the home, Floyd told WDRB.
Brooks Houck is the only named suspect in the disapperance two years of his girlfriend, Crystal Rogers. He has never been charged.
Crystal Rogers disappeared July 3, 2015. Her family found her abandoned car on the Bluegrass Parkway two days later.
Houck is believed to be the last person who saw Rogers alive.
Last November, Rogers’ father, Tommy Ballard, was shot and killed on family property. The investigation into his shooting death is ongoing.
