Obituary: Levon Coulter, 90, Bardstown

LEVON COULTER

Levon Coulter, 90, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1926, in Nelson County to the late Robert and Evelyn Jenkins Satterly. She was a retired bookkeeper for the former Coulter’s Shell Station in Bloomfield and along with her late husband, founded Coulter’s Towing. She was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Coulter, and her daughter, Sharon Parkerson.

She is survived by her son, Gary W. (Sandy) Coulter of Bardstown; one brother, Ernest Wilman Satterly of Mount Washington; and two grandchildren, Lance (Kelli) Coulter and Wesley Parkerson.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road with Bro. Leland Parks officiate. Burial is in Highview Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Gideon’s International or the Bloomfield Baptist Church Building Fund.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
