Three injured in early Sunday morning Bluegrass Parkway rollover crash

Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017 — Three people suffered minor injuries early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash near the 13 mile marker in the westbound lanes of the Bluegrass Parkway.
Nelson County EMS, police and the Boston Fire Department were dispatched at 4:36 a.m. for the injury accident with three victims.
According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, the victim’s vehicle was travel westbound when the driver overcorrected to miss a deer in the roadway. The vehicle then rolled over and caught fire. The occupants were able to exit the vehicle safely. Nelson County EMS treated three people at the scene and transported them to Hardin Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.
According to a sheriff’s office press release, speed was believed to have been a factor in the crash. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.
