STAFF REPORT

Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, 9 p.m. — Traffic through downtown Bardstown was blocked for nearly an hour just after lunch Monday afternoon when a Louisville Gas & Electric crew detected a natural gas leak in the area of 130 North Third St.

The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the area and shut down traffic on North Third Street between the Court Square and Broadway, and on West Flaget Ave. City police were requested to help route traffic around the area while LG&E crews worked to locate and isolate the gas leak.

After the leak was isolated by LG&E, the streets were re-opened to traffic by about 2 p.m.
