Drug use suspected in Monday morning injury accident near Boston

Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 — Nelson County EMS, police and Boston Fire were dispatched at about 7:53 a.m. Monday for a single-vehicle injury accident that happened on Lebanon Junction Road near the Jim Beam Booker Noe plant.

According to a Nelson County Sheriff’s Office press release, a vehicle operated by Chrysler Crain, 20, of Elizabethtown, was going south on Lebanon Junction Road when it left the roadway on the left, traveled several hundred feet, cross over Mount Moriah Road and struck a tree.

Crain was treated at the scene and then transported by EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital. According to the press release, illicit drug usage is suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
