Obituary: Suerene Scrogham, 73, Bloomfield
Suerene Scrogham, 73, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Bloomfield. She was a homemaker whose hobbies included collecting salt and pepper shakers, gardening, fishing, and cooking. She was a lifelong member of Van Buren Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Scrogham; one son, Tony Allen Scrogham; her parents, Clarence and Elsie Hagerman; and her stepfather, Leon Scrogham.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Faye (Gary) Shouse of Bloomfield; one sister, Faye Morris of Bloomfield; two brothers, Paul (Ruby) Hagerman of Chaplin, and Winfred (Bettie Sue) Hagerman of Bloomfield; two grandsons, James Allen (Laverna) Scrogham and Anthony Scott Scrogham both of Chaplin; one great-granddaughter, Deztani Scrogham; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin with Bro. Paul Hagerman, Bro. Winfred Hagerman, and Bro. Lee Smith officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
