Obituary: Else Land, 75, Bardstown

Else Land, 75, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at her residence. She was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Land; her parents, Ludwig and Wilhelmine Mair; and two brothers, Werener Mair and Anthony Mair.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Lovvorn and Lenora (Timothy) Burke of Bardstown; one stepson, Staff Sargent Timothy Burke II of Bardstown; one sister, Mina Heisig of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Caylen Lovvorn and Trenton Lovvorn of Bardstown; two great-grandchildren, Cayden Lovvorn and Karsyn Lovvorn of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Lynch officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to American Cancer Society, Relay For Life.
