GLENNA MARIE JONES HORNBACK

Glenna Marie Jones Hornback, 77, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Signature Health Care of Hart County in Horse Cave. She was born Dec. 18, 1939, in Greenville. She was a registered nurse who served as a major in the U.S. Army MASH unit for 8 years. She retired from VA Medical Center in Louisville in 1994. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church since 1967, and Parkway Baptist Church since 2010.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wendell H. Hornback of Bardstown; one stepson, David N. (DaVonna) Hornback of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Doris Jean Turner of Chicago and Melba Wheat of Glasgow; and two stepgrandsons, the Rev. Nathan Houston (Taylor) Hornback, and Caleb D. (Nicole) Hornback, both of Dayton, Ohio;

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Houston Hornback officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
