Obituary: Myrtle Ruby Harmon, 89, Bardstown

MYRTLE RUBY HARMON

Myrtle Ruby Harmon, 89, of Bardstown, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Washington County to the late Earl and Mattie Pinkston Foster. She was a retired employee of the Bardstown Sewing Factory. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and loved to travel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bradley and Leon Lewis; and one grandson, Mike Lewis.

She is survived by her husband, Widmer Harmon; two sons, Leroy (Carol) Lewis of Bloomfield and Glenn (Tammy) Harmon of Bardstown; one brother, Lonnie (Betty) Foster of Mount Washington; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Chesser officiating. Burial is in the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family request that expressions of sympathy to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
