Obituary: Mary Rose Hardin, 88, Boston
Mary Rose Hardin, 88, of Boston, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at her residence. She was born May 2, 1929, in Bardstown to the late Wood and Minnie Ritchie Blaine. She was a homemaker who loved gardening and fishing. She was a member of the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Doris Culver and Mary Ellen Hardin; one son, David Hardin; three sisters, Maggie Goff, Ruth Smith and Katie Martin;
two brothers, Jib Blaine and Pete Blaine; one grandson, Samuel West; and a special friend Mildred Hardin.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty (Wesley) Watson of Boston; one brother, Joe Blaine of Louisville; four grandchildren, Clayton Watson, Beverly (Kevin) Hornback, Shannon Blincoe, and Ryan Hardin; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Hegwood officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
