Louisville man indicted after failing to repair roof he was paid to fix

Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 — A Louisville man was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury on charges that he was paid to do roof repairs but failed to do the work.

Graham William Goldsmith, 35, of Louisville, was indicted Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, on one charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of property, $500 or more.

According to the indictment, between June 1 and July 31, 2017, Goldsmith allegedly accepted a $7,003.99 payment for roof repairs in Nelson County but failed to do any work.

The charge is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison if convicted. Goldsmith is set for arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
