Obituary: James Edward Apple Sr., 66, Shepherdsville
James Edward Apple Sr., 66, of Shepherdsville, died at his home Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, with his wife by his side. He was a member of Vine Hill Baptist Church and a retired deputy with the Wilson County Sheriff Department in Tennessee.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Lena Apple; and two sisters, Alice Fay Godwin and Linda Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Apple; three daughters, Barbie Janik (Steve) of Taylorsville, Tina Hawkins (Mark) of Shepherdsville and Brandi Rice (Jeremy) of Bardstown; two sons, Eddie Apple (Tammy) of Vine Grove, David Apple of Lebanon, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Ruth Helton of Tennessee and Barbara Aulder; one brothers, Charles West of Nashville; five grandchildren, Katie Apple, Jordan Hawkins, Devin Shaw, Madison Hawkins, Jaydan Hawkins; one great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Vine Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Crenshaw officiating. Burial is in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville.
