Obituary: Frances Rebecca Vandusen, 91, Bloomfield
Frances Rebecca Vandusen, 91, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1926, in Cincinnati to the late Raymond and Mary Ola Greenwell. She was a former cook with the Colorado School System and a member of Abundant Life Church in Bardstown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Vandusen; and one daughter, Brenda Lee.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Richard) Avis of Bloomfield and Donna Walker of Bardstown; four sons, Richard (Betty) Vandusen of Gypsum, Colo., Dave (Marie) Vandusen, Phillip (Ester) Vandusen, and Ronald Vandusen, all of Bardstown; two sisters, Phyllis (Rodney) White of New Haven and Judy (Ralph) Summitt of Bardstown; two brothers, Billy Ray (Freda) Greenwell of Bardstown and Lloyd Greenwell of Louisville; 33 grandchildren; 92 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Pastor Freddy Riggs officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
