Obituary: Sister Mary Joyce Reasoner, S.L., 86, Nerinx

Sister Mary Joyce Reasoner, S.L., 86, of Nerinx, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born July 14, 1931, in Beloit, Wis. to the late Harlyn Joseph and Loretta Caroline Ertmer Reasoner. She entered religious life in 1949 and received her final vows in 1955. She graduated from A.B. Webster college in 1960 with a major in education. Her assignments were located in Missouri, Texas and Kentucky. She taught locally at St. Augustine School in Lebanon from 1967 until 1977. She retired to the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in 2011.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Her wake is 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Loretto Motherhouse.

The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
