Bardstown Police investigating early Saturday morning shooting

Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 — Bardstown Police, Nelson County EMS and Bardstown Fire were called early Saturday morning to an apartment on Honeysuckle Lane after an alleged shooting.

At about 4:37 a.m., first-responders were dispatched for a report of a woman who had been shot in the abdomen inside an apartment in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Lane. Dispatchers were told the alleged perpetrator was a black male dressed in black and wearing a black mask. Nelson County EMS treated the victim at the scene. She was then transported directly from the scene to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment of her her injury.

Bardstown Police are investigating the incident.
