Whitesides Road home destroyed by fire early Sunday morning

Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 — A home that was believed to be vacant was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.

At about 12:22 a.m. Sunday morning, the Northeast Nelson Fire Department responded after a neighbor reported that a home in the 3000 block of Whitesides Road was on fire. The property was located near the intersection of Whitesides Road and KY 48. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully involved in flames. Firefighters contained the fire and remained on scene for about an hour and 20 minutes.
