Obituary: Dave Mason, 57, Bardstown

Dave Mason, 57, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 8, 1960, in Bardstown. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He was employed at Blend Pac.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Therese Mason; one sister, Stacy Mason; one nephew, Vincent Wiggington; and an aunt, Lillie Plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Sharry Blair of Bardstown; eight sons and daughters,

Jermaine Spalding, Shayla Mason, Shanell Mason, Carrie Blair, and Kyle Shepherd, all of Bardstown, Tenna Mason and Dave Mason, both of Florida, and Daisha Fuller of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Darlene Miles of Bloomfield; three brothers, Clyde Mason and Allan Mason Jr., both of Bloomfield and Vincent Mason of Louisville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Marshall officiating. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
