Obituary: John Thomas ‘Jack’ Kirkpatrick II, 32, Bardstown

John Thomas “Jack” Kirkpatrick II, 32, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, in Sandy Grove, Ga. He was born Feb. 2, 1985, to Joseph Donald and Mary Ann Cecil Kirkpatrick. He was an independent food service delivery driver. He loved the University of Kentucky and was a member of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Leon “Bill” Cecil and Jackie and Millie Kirkpatrick.

In addition to his parents, he was survived by two brothers, Lee Kirkpatrick of Bardstown and Eric Kirkpatrick of Lexington; his maternal grandmother, Georgia Cecil of Bardstown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Do celebrant. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Gregory School.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of arrangements.
