Obituary: William ‘Billy’ C. Beavers Jr., 68, Bardstown

WILLIAM C. “BILLY” BEAVERS

William “Billy” C. Beavers Jr., 68, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1949, in Bardstown to the late William C. Sr. and Maggie Holderman Beavers. He was a former truck driver for Mago. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, loved antique cars and showing them at Whiskey City Cruisers events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David Beavers.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly S. Beavers; one daughter, Gaylene (Barry) Davis of Mount Washington; four stepdaughters, Michelle (Keith) Allen and Dawn Bartley, both of Bardstown, Rhonda Chapman of Lexington, and Joanna Hood of Bloomfield; one son, William “Billy Dale” (Julie) Beavers of Bloomfield; one stepson, Joe (Missy) Chapman Jr. of Bloomfield; one sister, Wanda Perkins of Nicholasville; one brother, Harold (Linda) Borders of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Karley Davis, Wyatt Davis and Stewart Beavers; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, is in charge of the arrangements.
