Obituary: Catherine Denise Hagan, 52, Holy Cross

CATHERINE DENISE HAGAN

Catherine Denise Hagan, 52, of Holy Cross, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at her residence. She was born Nov. 24, 1964, and was a native of Holy Cross. She was a homemaker and former employee of the Loretto Motherhouse.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Earl “Frankie” Blanford Sr.; and two brothers, Earl Blanford and Chuck Blanford.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Hagan; one son, Chris Hagan (Brandie) of Culvertown; her mother, LaVern Wortham Blanford of Holy Cross; one sister, Cindy Hobbs (Mike) of New Haven; one brother, Greg Blanford of Holy Cross; two grandsons, Luke Clark and Isaac Hagan; and a host of other relative and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto, with the Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Greg Blanford, Blake Blanford, Aaron Blanford, Luke Clark, Freeman Hagan and Raffo Hagan.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
