Obituary: Allen Joyce ‘Junie’ Mason Jr., 51, Bloomfield

ALLEN JOYCE “JUNIE” MASON JR.

Allen Joyce “Junie” Mason Jr., 51, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1966, in Bardstown, he was an employee for the Nelson County Board of Education for 29 years. He was a member of Campbell’s Chapel AME Zion Church in Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Tresa Mason; one sister, Stacy Mason; one brother, Dave Mason; two stepbrothers, Allen Satchell and Barry Lamar; his maternal grandmother, Mary Graham; one nephew, Vincent Wiggington; and one aunt, Lillie Plummer.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tammy Mason; two sons, Cameron “Geeford” Mason and Chance “Deeda” Mason, both of Bloomfield; two sisters, Darlene (John) Miles of Bloomfield and Aretha Mason of Bardstown; three brothers, Clyde (Martha) Mason of Bloomfield, Vincent Mason of Owensboro, and Claude Scott
of Radcliff; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery with the Rev. Don Burley will officiating.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
