Obituary: Juanita Beghtol Maraman, 65, Shepherdsville

JUANITA BEGHTOL MARAMAN

Juanita Beghtol Maraman, 65, of Shepherdsville, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. She was born in Jefferson County July 27, 1952, to the late James and Rita Beghtol. Her first church home was Mount Elmira Baptist church for 15 years, then she joined Cedar Grove Baptist church where she stayed for another 15 to 20 years. Later she became a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Cox’s Creek where she faithfully attended for more than 15 years. She loved her church and gardening. She was an awesome grandmother who really adored her grandbabies. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her one sister, Faye Childers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Leonard Maraman; two sons, Stafford Maraman and Abe Maraman (Tiffany); three sisters, Shirley Stacey, Lorraine Rogers, and Evelyn Hutchins; three brothers, Stanley Thiry, Dale Thiry, and Jimmy Beghtol; three grandchildren, Corey Maraman, Seth Maraman, and Evan Maraman; and a host of other family and friends.

The funeral is noon Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at New Salem Baptist Church, 2775 Deatsville Rd., Cox’s Creek, with burial on the family farm.

Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd., and 10 a.m.-noon at the church on Thursday.

The Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
