Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 — WBRT and Faith Elements Dance-nastic Team are hosting the first Bardstown Christmas Parade themed youth poster contest. This year’s parade theme is “A Story Book Christmas.” Posters should be created with this theme in mind. The contest is for youth ages 6-12 years old.
The contest begins Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, and all posters should be turned in to Melissa Thompson, who will be in the large meeting room at the Nelson County Public Library between 7-8 p.m p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.
Between Monday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 19, the posters will be on display at the library, and the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite poster.
All entries must have the name, address, phone number and birthdate on the back of the poster so the entrants can be contacted to pick up his or her poster. The winning poster will be displayed at the library from Nov. 27 through Dec. 3.
The first place winner will receive Family Video gift cards, a trophy, and an opportunity to ride on the float with Santa during the Christmas parade. The first-place winner’s poster will be used on next year’s Christmas Parade brochure.
For more information, contact Melissa Thompson, (502) 373-7866.
