Obituary: Justin Dale Ammons, 36, Willisburg

Justin Dale Ammons, 36, of Willisburg, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 31, 1981, in Louisville to Linda Hall and Anthony Dale Ammons. He was a construction laborer, heavy equipment operator, sanitation worker and a member of Freedom Praise Ministries.

He is survived by his wife, Brooke Sexton Ammons; three daughters, Madison Hart-Gergely of Radcilff, Makayla Hart-Gergely of Willisburg and Kylee Hazelwood of Harrodsburg; two sons, Isaiah Ammons of Bloomfield and Trevan Hazelwood of Harrodsburg; his mother, Linda Downs of Bloomfield; his father, Anthony Dale (Sharee) Ammons of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Ashley (Thomas) Hawkins of Mackville, Monica (Daniel) Mann of Hardyville, Crystal Downs of Glasgow, and Sabrina Ammons of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Alan (Mackayla) Downs of Glasgow and Mickey Ammons of Harrodsburg; his maternal grandmother, Freida Keeling of Bloomfield; his paternal grandparents, Joseph “Junior” and Janice Ammons of Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Michael Johnson and Bro. Eric Gilbert officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation is 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
