Obituary: Carolyn Marie Jones, 74
Carolyn Marie Jones, 74, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at University Hospital in Louisville. She was one of the “15 Good Reasons for Eating at Jones’ Restaurant.” She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church. She also worked many years at Jones’ Restaurant and enjoyed spoiling her 32 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Wyanda Kurtz Jones.
She is survived by six sisters, Marolyn Jones, her twin, Mary Annette (Bev) Wimsatt, Barbara (Jerry) Brown, Wanda Marie Jones, Elizabeth (Jim) Donahue, and Mickie (Neal) Clark; eight brothers, Bill (Mary) Jones, Frank (Kathy) Jones, Jim (Sally) Jones, Jack (Lisa) Jones, Tony (Betty) Jones, and Mike (Jeanne) Jones, all of Bardstown, Jerry (Lorinda) Jones of Rineyville and Bob (Kristii) Jones of Phoenix.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw celebrant.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday with prayers Thursday evening at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown.
Expressions of sympathy may go to St. Joseph’s Church and the Bereavement committee.
