Obituary: Jerry M. Freibert, 71, Russell Springs

JERRY M. FREIBERT

Jerry M. Freibert, age 71, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2017. He was born in Louisville Oct. 9, 1946, to the late Sherwood and Elizabeth Freibert. He retired from International Harvester where he worked as a diesel mechanic and in assembly. He loved the outdoors. He loved boating, fishing, beaches, and basically anything to do with the water. One of his favorite things to do was flying. His passion for flying lead him to become a member of the AMA Remote Control Airplane Club where he spent many hours flying his planes. Of all the things he loved, he loved his family most of all. He will be dearly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Freibert; one daughter, Michelle Freibert Mosier (Mark); one sister, Denise Freibert of Florida; two brothers, Larry Freibert of Bardstown and Dale Freibert of Hudson, Fla.; two grandsons, Max and Marshall Mosier; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

His memorial service is 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in the chapel of the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd. in Shepherdsville.

Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville is in charge of arrangements.
