Obituary: Jerry Reid Weaver, 70, formerly of Bardstown

Jerry Reid Weaver, 70, formerly of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at VA Hospital in Lexington. He was born April 22, 1947, in Louisville to the late J.T. and Kathleen Rebecca Westfall Weaver. He was a former master electrician, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Christian faith.

He is survived by one son, Gary Weaver of Florida; two sisters, Michelle Gilbert of California and Bonnie Breen of Louisville; one brother, Shawn Weaver of Florida; and one granddaughter, Ava Weaver of Florida.

The graveside service is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at the New Hope Church of God, 8254 KY HWY 1232 in Corbin.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road is in charge of arrangements.
