Obituary: Donald Francis Wallace, 79, Elizabethtown

Donald Francis Wallace, 79, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at his home. He was a native of Georgetown, and retired from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College as a professor. He loved gardening and reading.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Wallace; his parents, Chester and Francis Thomas Wallace; and two brothers, David Wallace and Jack Wallace.

He is survived by his daughter, Chris Wallace Hodge (Jason) of Elizabethtown; one brother, Carol “Toe” Wallace (Nancy Jo) of Georgetown; and two grandchildren, Emmett and Colton.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2017, at the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Faron Knopp officiating. Burial is in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
