Obituary: Cecil G. Tillett, 85, Bardstown

Cecil G. Tillett, 85, of Bardstown, died Saturday Oct. 21, 2017, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born April 25, 1932, in Peaks Mill to the late Frank and Gladys McHatton Tillett. He retired from Firestone Langley Tires in Elizabethtown.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Tillett; and a grandson, Tony Tillett.

He is survived by one daughter, Alta (Mark) Kurtz of Elizabethtown; three sons, Roger (Leisa)Taylor of Bardstown, John F. (Tammy) Tillett of Rineyville and Cecil Tillett of Bardstown;

one brother, Billy Ray Tillett of Frankfort; two sisters, Liz Spalding and Frankie Penn, both of Frankfort; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is noon Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m.- noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
