Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 — The public is invited to the campaign kick-off of Nelson County deputy sheriff Lt. Kaelen Matthews, 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 107 North Fourth St. in Bardstown.

Matthews announced last month his plans to run for the office of Nelson County Sheriff.

The deadline to file to be a candidate for an office that requires a primary is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.

The 2018 May primary election is Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
