At 3:38 p.m. Sunday, Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident near the BG Parkway’s 0 mile marker east of Elizabethtown. According to a KSP press release, Conner Sheehan, 17, of Bowling Green was westbound on the parkway entering the parkway from I-65 when for unknown reasons, the 2006 Chevrolet HHR he was driving crossed the median, overturned, and struck an eastbound 2009 Ford Fusion head-on operated by Brenda Watkins, 57, of Lexington.

Connor Sheehan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner. Watkins was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
