Obituary: Russell Jaggers Black, 40, Loretto

Russell Jaggers Black, 40, of Loretto, formerly of Hodgenville, died Nov. 5, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was a former employee of Buzick Construction in Bardstown.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Potts Black; his mother, Ramona (Michael) Thorpe of Charlottesville, Va.; his father, Eddie (Patricia) Black of Hodgenville; two stepsons, Preston Carter of Loretta and James Anthony Carter of Colorado;

two sisters, Cory (Mike) Wise of Woodbridge, Va. and Sarah (Chris) Hale of Colorado Springs, Colo.;
two brothers, Timm (Jessica) Black of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Michael (Rachel) Black of Cleves, Ohio;

and one stepgranddaughter, Lilly Carter.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Sarah Hale and Michael Black officiating. Burial is in the Rolling Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, and after 9 .am. Thursday at the funeral home.

The Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of arrangements.
