Obituary: Ivo M. Mudd, 85, Bardstown

Ivo M. Mudd, 85, of Bardstown, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Nelson County. He was retired from Heaven Hill Distillery and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid UK fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Ritchie Mudd; his parents, James and Emma Mudd; special parents, Hubert and Mildred Breeden; three sisters, Lona Dadisman Jones, Boneva McClure, and Carolyn Trent; and two brothers, A. V. Mudd and Junior Breeden.

He is survived by five daughters, Diane Clark, Debbie Green, Denise (Robbie) Millsap, Dana (Mike) Roby, all of Bardstown, and Donna (Barry) Gentry of Mount Washington; two sons, Jimmy (Marcie) Mudd of Mascoutah, Ill., and Ivo M. (Paula) Mudd Jr. of Bardstown; five sisters Anna Vittitow, Sissy Goodpaster, Millie Bowman, Peggy Borland, and Debbie Ingram; five brothers, Emmett Mudd, Buddy Breeden, Billy Breeden, Gary Breeden, and John Breeden; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
