Bardstown man injured in early morning Quarry Lane crash

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 — A Bardstown man was injured early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Quarry Lane.

According to a press release from the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Hite, 41, of Bardstown was injured Saturday morning about 5:48 a.m. when his vehicle left the right side of the road in the 400 block of Quarry Lane and struck a tree.

The Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County Fire Departments responded to the crash. Firefighters had to use their tools to help free Hite from his vehicle. He was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS and then transported directly to University Hospital.

Deputy A.J. Lewis of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.
