Obituary: Francis Anthony “Tony” Mattingly, 57, Loretto
Francis Anthony “Tony” Mattingly, 57, of Loretto, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 15, 1959, in Marion County. He was a retired employee of Buzick Construction in Bardstown and a Catholic by faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Junior Mattingly; one son, Little Tony Mattingly; one brother, Stevie Mattingly.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Smothers Mattingly; his mother, Rita Teresa Miles Mattingly of Columbia; one son, Timmy Mattingly (Shannon) of Loretto; five sisters, Laura Benningfield of Loretto, Cathy Vaughn of Georgia, Joyce Mattingly of Campbellsville, Alicia Biven of Lebanon and Helen Jones (Jonesy) of Columbia; two brothers, Donnie Mattingly (Brenda) of New Hope and Tom Mattingly of Loretto; and five granddaughters.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with the Rev. Ken Fortener officiating. Burial is in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in New Hope.
Visitation is noon-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tony Blair, Robert Dale Smothers, Bob Williamson, Little Bobby Burke, Greg Clark and Bruce Clark
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
