Obituary: Betty Jane Gellhaus, 88, Athertonville
Betty Jane Gellhaus, 88, of Athertonville, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Klondike Center in Louisville. She was born March 24, 1929, in Henry County. She loved to bake wedding cakes and sew wedding dresses, and was a member of Athertonville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Charles Gellhaus Sr.; her parents, Chester and Elizabeth Speed; one daughter, Theresa Gellhaus; and one grandson, William Hoback.
She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Stine, Sandra (Michael) Johnson, Suzanna (Michael) Hernandez, and Tina (John) Skaggs; two sons, Danny (Joyce) Gellhaus and Eddie Gellhaus; two sisters, Joyce Duggins and Margaret Divelbliss; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Rolling Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Underhill officiating.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go Cabbage Patch Settlement and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
