Obituary: Vernon Ray Stump, 78, Cox’s Creek

Vernon Ray Stump, 78, of Cox’s Creek, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017. He was a lifelong farmer and a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Robinson Stump; one daughter, Connie Stump-Earley (Robert); one sister, Linda Pearce; two brothers, Gilbert Stump and Larry Stump.

The funeral was Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, with burial in the Mount Washington Cemetery.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
