Two injured in rollover crash Friday afternoon crash at BG’s Exit 34

Friday, Nov. 30, 2017 — Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on the Bluegrass Parkway involving an SUV and an overturned box truck with possible entrapment of the occupants.

At about 1:28 p.m. Friday, the Northeast Nelson Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and police responded to the reported accident at Exit 34 in the parkway’s westbound lanes.

Nelson County EMS treated two people at the scene and transported them to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. One of the patients transported was a 65-year-old male driver who complained of neck stiffness.

A light pole at the exit ramp was knocked down in the crash. Police were at the accident scene for nearly two hours.
